A native Angelino and daughter of Mexican immigrant parents, Ruth Ramos describes herself as half-artist, half-geek. This mindset has led her from satellite engineering work at Hughes Aircraft, to Computer Graphics Imagery on feature animated films for Disney and DreamWorks.
However, this career was sidelined in late 2002 by a severe lupus flare. Years of recovery have mended both body and spirit and she is currently concentrating on her painting and photography.
